Privacy

What we collect

Your account email (handled by Google Firebase Identity Platform). The video files you upload (stored in Google Cloud Storage). Optional metadata you enter — project titles, tags, transcripts you edit.

Who else touches your footage

• Google Vertex AI / Gemini — receives video frames and audio for analysis.
• Anthropic — receives text only (transcripts and your chat messages with the editor).
• AssemblyAI — receives audio for transcription when invoked.

All three are used under enterprise terms that prohibit training on your data. We do not train any models on your footage.

Where it's stored

Google Cloud Storage, US region. Database rows live in Google Cloud SQL (also US).

Deletion

When you delete a project, both the database rows and the GCS objects are removed within 24 hours. To delete your account entirely, email team@flashcut.dev and we'll remove all your projects and uploads with it.

Cookies and tracking

A Firebase Identity Platform authentication session cookie only. No third-party analytics on the marketing page or inside the editor.
