FlashCut

Beta

FlashCut for Adobe Premiere Pro

The FlashCut panel finds the narratives and soundbites in your interview footage and builds the sequence inside Premiere Pro. Your client can review the story from a shared link before you cut.

Coming soon

The beta is being prepared. Until it is out you can use FlashCut in the browser, and export Premiere Pro XML to continue in Premiere.

Requirements

  • Adobe Premiere Pro 25.6 or later (and Adobe Media Encoder of the same major version for the best export path).
  • macOS or Windows. The beta has been tested on macOS; Windows is expected to work but has not been tested yet.
  • A FlashCut account. The free tier covers a first project: 1 hour of footage every 14 days.

Install

  1. Download the .ccx file.
  2. Double-click it. Creative Cloud Desktop opens and shows a warning that the plugin is not from the Marketplace: that is expected for a beta we host ourselves. Click Install.
  3. Allow the admin permission prompt if it appears (the panel reads your project footage and talks to FlashCut).
  4. In Premiere Pro open Window > UXP Plugins > FlashCut and sign in with your FlashCut account.

What it uploads

For each clip you choose to send, the panel renders a 720p proxy and uploads it to FlashCut’s cloud. Your original files stay on your drive. FlashCut is not a local-only tool: see the privacy policy and the terms. Questions: team@flashcut.dev.

Questions

What does the FlashCut Premiere Pro panel upload?
For each clip you choose to send, the panel renders a 720p proxy and uploads it to FlashCut’s cloud for transcription and analysis. Your original files stay on your drive, and the sequence it builds in Premiere uses your original media.
Does the panel work offline or keep footage local?
No. FlashCut processes footage in its cloud, so the panel needs an internet connection and is not a local-only tool. If your footage cannot leave your machine, do not send it from the panel.
Does the FlashCut panel for Premiere Pro cost anything?
The panel is free to install. Processing counts against your FlashCut plan: the free tier covers 1 hour of footage every 14 days, and paid plans are listed on the pricing page.
